2.22.11

This is exactly why I carry my little camera every where I go:

Monica and I went to the mall a few weeks ago to take advantage of the saltwater sale. Over at Gap, head or no head, Eva found the mannequins irresistible. She loves to button other peoples buttons, she is constantly buttoning me up too!

I am home today with Wyatt. He has had a low fever for a few days and hopefully today is the last. It's also the first day of work that I miss. I knew it would happen but I didn't expect it so soon! Since I'm part time I'll make it up later in the week, I like the flexibility. It's pretty great. I'm already missing the coffee at my office, I'm so happy they have good coffee!

I am really proud of my 2011 planner. Over Christmas break I asked my kids to each draw me a picture of a tree on an old book page. The did it independently of one another and I didn't tell them what it was for or what kind of tree to draw, just approximately what size it should be. We cut them out and I used mod podge to adhere them to my paper covered chipboard. I used the same method of coptic stitch bookbinding as the one I made last year.

Emily is the tall skinny one. Sarah made the traditional looking one. Wyatt's looks like a giant tropical rain forest tree to me, and Eva is the cute squatty Christmas tree shaped one. I love them and I love how this little project turned out.

Wyatt's resting and watching TV, we'll see how long good 'ol Sesame Street can still hold his attention. I'm going to get into my closet and organize until I get tired of it and then maybe I'll read. It's funny but it feels strange to be home today! Isn't that ridiculous? I've been home from work for over nine years and after day three I miss a day of work and it feels weird!
