Can't Wait.

Can't wait to meet Lucas, born on Monday to my friends Nena and Victor, and baby brother to their beautiful daughter Emma. I have enormous quantities of joy in my heart for the four of them. I am not crying right now.

Can't wait for spring to start feeling warm and friendly. So much weather that is not warm or friendly has been happening around here.

Can't wait for Wyatt's birthday! I too had a baby [eight years ago] this first week of spring. Vernal Equinox, thank you for your most beautiful blessings.

Can't wait to finish the third Twilight book, Eclipse. I thought these books were for tweenagers! I am totally hooked. Didn't think I would like reading teen angst merged with vampires and werewolves. Ha!

Can't wait experience more of the joy of lent in the glory of my favorite liturgical season, Easter.

Eva picked and bundled these little flowers for me in the grass at the park last week and she put them in water for me. She is so good at being five. Some things I can wait for, and often wish that time would slow down a bit.

Just for my friend Nena, some sweet baby love.

I wanted you
Before you were born
I loved you
Before you were here an hour
I would give my life for you
This is the miracle of life."

so fresh from God love us."

May God Bless little Lucas always.

Game Day.

This morning, Wyatt had his second game this week. I missed his game on Tuesday because I was in bed with fever that night. It was weird, I had this one day thing but I'm so much better now. Anyway, today he played the team that his best buddy Jake is on and that made it extra good. It was a beautiful morning here and I think I took some good shots. It's hard to get the shot through the chain link fence when you have planted yourself on the bleachers but I'm pleased with them anyway. He played center field today and walked both times he was up at bat. The second time he made it all the way in for a run.

That's my boy in center field...waiting.

Here's my sweet little man leading off first.

And my awesome little guy running for third.

And this one I took when we got home, is my favorite.

3.11.11

I am crushed by the devastation that happened in Japan today. It's so unreal, so sad and horrible.

Today was my day off. I spent a couple of hours at school helping in Sarah's and briefly in Eva's class. Then I had a hair appointment with my sister in law for nearly three hours. Tony always acts shocked when I tell him how much time I spend with his sister getting my hair done. I had a few minutes today to experiment with my new camera and I made a little collage of the things I found in my backyard + one of me trying to look like I know what I'm doing with that camera.

Those are my neighbors lemons that I covet. I covet her oranges too. Is that a sin? I hope not because it's lent and I am striving for purity and clarity. I may need to put more time into that pursuit. Probably a lot of time.

Spring is here in a few days! The trees that blossom are doing their lovely thing and the rest of the trees are sprouting little baby buds. Sweet, but in heavy contrast to world events and personal devastations near and far. This life is sometimes so hard to get my brain around and hurts the heart. So much.

Six People in February.

It isn't bedtime on the last day of the month. It's dinnertime on the last day of the month! L-A-M-E I know, I know! I tried to make it better by turning it sepia. Fail!

Hopefully, this pitiful attempt I have put forth for January and February will serve me by demonstrating my progress. It cannot get worse right? Wait, don't answer that!

It took me this long to post it because I was thinking about cheating and using a better picture that I would take in March and just pretend that it was February. I thought we could hold up pretty hearts or something like that. In the interest of keeping it real, I decided not to cheat. Oh joy, can't wait for March!

Hello Paycheck.

First thing I bought with my new money was this awesome mini bus roll print from my favorite Canadian Kal Barteski.

It's much easier to work up the nerve to buy stuff as a working girl. Good thing I don't want that much. These two items however were at the top of my list way before I found myself with a paycheck. I went online and ordered my Kal print when I got home from work that first day. A present to myself.

I got sick this week, not fun but I am making it through the days. This whole working thing is going to be a slow adjustment. Even though it's my third week, it hasn't really hit me yet-that my life has actually changed dramatically. These four days I now spend in the office I was spending on something else. So far though I think I am keeping up with everything, even with this pesky cold.

Cannot wait for my mailman to bring me something from Canada Post!
